    There were three Christian albums recorded by Bob Dylan between 1979 and 1981. This album is a collection of songs from "Slow Train Coming" and "Saved" covered by various gospel artists. Pastor Shirley Caesar kicks off the album with her powerful version of the title piece "Gotta serve somebody," followed by Lee Williams & The Spiritual QC's singing "When you gonna wake up." From the legendary groups such as the Fairfield Four and Mighty Clouds of Joy to the rather new artists like Dottie Peoples and Helen Baylor, this album includes different generations of the artists. The last song "Gonna change my way of thinking" is performed by Mavis Staples and the man himself, Bob Dylan.
