We Remember
Clara Ward
LIQUID 8
Release Date:2002
CD Length: 33'51"

Like the linernotes says, Clara Ward, widely acclaimed among the greatest soloists in the history of gospel music, was also "the subject of much criticism from purists -- with her backing group the Ward Singers, she pushed gospel out of the church and into the nightclubs, infusing the music with a shot of glitz and glamour the likes of which had never before been seen." However, this album was recorded before the group went on the tour of the nightclubs, and the collection of the songs such as the traditional "There Is a Fountain Filled With Blood" and blusy "Out on a Hill" showcase her beautiful, powerful voice.
This album has exactly same tracks as "When The Gates Swing Open" released by HOB.
