Yolanda Adams

Born Houston in 1964, Yolanda grew up under an influence of her mother who studied music at college. Yolanda was a schoo teacher and occasional fashion model before joining the Southeast Inspirational Choir. In 1987, she had a solo debut with an album "Just As I Am". Her R&B-style gospel singing put her on a spotlight in the 90s. She also was Billboard's top-selling gospel singer in the year 2000.
