I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20

Alabaster Box
EMD/CHORDANT
Release Date: October 19, 1999
Length: 46'31"

One of the top selling album last year was from a member of a famous gospel music family. Five songs were written by CeCe herself. This album was also partly produced by Fred Hammond.
"It wasn't easy" reminds that many people would sometimes take the crusification so lightly that they would forget how worthful it was. In the title song "Alabaster Box", CeCe sings about the love and submission to Jesus the Savior as shown by Mary in Luke 7:37-38. In "One and the same", she praise how "high and mighty" God is with Take 6, a famous gospel a capella group.
Throughout the album, CeCe sings about the personal relationship with God, rather than preaching or spreading His words.
