a good resource for Christmas carols October 21, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The book is sectioned for classical guitar (Pachelbel, Bach, Schubert), tab, note for note, lyrics, fingerstyle. Some selections have strum & pick pattern suggestions, which can be found in the back of the book. There are Christmas song selections from movies, musicals (ex. Sound of Music, The Nutcracker, ageless t.v. Christmas specials as well as the songs we have performed in grade school Christmas programs. There are Christmas songs by Neil Diamond, John Lennon, Irving Berlin, the Beach Boys, Willie Neslon...and the popular Christmas carols. I like the fact that some of the songs are easier/harder than others, & there are chords & tab. It is fun to go through the book & play. I didn't give a "5", for it would have been nice to have spiral bound for the music stand.
