 Not the best choice December 14, 2007
I have purchased other fake books, and wanted this for my collection. However, there were many, many songs I did not know, and many songs that were in my other books. I rated it a "3" because if you don't have a fake book for worship, it's not a bad pick. It has a lot of "extras" such as lead sheets and other things. However, if you have other large worship books, I wouldn't purchase this one.
 Expensive but worth the price. Book's CD is the selling point. October 31, 2007

This book really exceeded my expectations. It is the book's accompanying CD-ROM that makes this an exceptional, and expensive, book. The CD contains PDF files, electronic files of printed music, of all the pages in the book, plus recordings of the songs, plus a corresponding Nashville Number System chart for each song, plus a simplified "lead sheet" that qualifies the music as a "fakebook" version, as opposed to note-for-note transcription.
For those unfamiliar with the terminology, a "Fakebook" doesn't contain a transcription of the actual parts on the commercial recording, but provides a simplified outline of the melody and chord symbols. The songs on the CD are introduced and explained at the beginning so the listener understands the arrangement. Performance tips are provided for each and every song like the recommended tempo and style. Suggestions are provided for worship leaders as to what songs fit with a pastor's theme so worship leaders can put together "set lists" (song groupings) with the same theme.
The recordings are not the original versions but a stripped down "unplugged" version with just vocal and guitar. The vocal range is in a singable, lower register which is why the Nashville Number System is utilized. If numbers are used instead of chord symbols, songs can be played in different keys without rewriting the whole song with new chord symbols. A nice PDF file with explanation of how to use the NNS is included on the CD as well.
This book is a must have for musicians playing in a worship ensemble in church or for fun with a band. On top of all this, the book ties in with the publisher's website where you can read about the composers and download even more goodies like free songs and sheet music.

I have started playing the piano and have looked for easy worship music to learn and this book was a God send to say the least. I am loving it and enjoying learning many new songs. It is easy to read and when I play it actually sounds like the song.

Exactly what I was looking for December 8, 2006
This book is AMAZING!!! The list of songs is great and the fact that it's a fakebook allows me to really express myself musically while still carrying the melody line!!! It's wonderful and I can't wait to share it with the praise band at my church!

This fakebook has an amazing number of praise music selections. Kind in mind, however, that a fakebook does not include piano parts. I made this mistake and, unfortunately, was looking for piano parts.
