 Good Entertainment Value January 6, 2009
If you take this for the entertainment value and NOT historical accuracy, you won't be disappointed. This is entertainment, loosely based on history. It's very well done on a grand scale and even though you *know* how certain events unfold, you will still find yourself waiting for Henry to step in at the last minute and stop them.

I love this series. I really enjoyed the first season and the second just got better. As an avid reader of historical fiction, this movie was an eye-treat. I know it is not accurate but I didn't care because the story is gripping and the actors are first class. Not to mention the AMAZING setting and LUSH wardrobe. I can't rave enough about this series. It got me so intrigued by Tudor England that I found myself opening encyclopedias and reading about it to know more. I wish they made more movies like this.
I heartily recommend it and envy those who are about to enjoy it for the first time.

If you would like a 90210 version of history then you will love this show. This show is an insult to anyone who respects the real history of these characters. Memo to the show's creators: Henry VIII was a very large man, not the sexy somewhat effiminate character shown in this series. WHAT A JOKE!
Amazing, gorgeous, best historical movie I've ever seen December 24, 2008
Blessings to the cast of The Tudors, and those who work behind the scenes, this is an amazing adaptation of Henry VIII, I highly recommend.... so happy to watch it!

Another great season of this series. If you liked the first season, you will love this season!
Characters get even better, plot gets even thicker, and the writing seems to have improved over season 1. There is absolutely no reason not to buy this season if you liked the first one.
