Amazon.com No one loves the cold months better than acerbic fat cat Garfield, who thrives on a bounty of junk food and traditional meals in the delightful collection of musical-comedy TV specials Garfield Holiday Celebrations. "Garfield's Halloween Adventure" finds the portly hero and airhead-sidekick Odie the dog scrounging through owner Jon's attic to find perfect costumes, then encountering ghosts and ghoulies that seem a tad authentic. "Garfield's Thanksgiving" is a screwball special in which Jon harasses veterinarian Liz into being his Turkey Day guest. Trouble is, Jon is clueless about how to cook a big bird; fortunately, starving Garfield has the good sense to call in Jon's spirited grandmother for a culinary rescue. Grandma shows up, too, in "A Garfield Christmas," about a family get-together that covers all the nice holiday stuff and, of course, lots of bickering, pouting, and jealousy. As long as Garfield gets his Yuletide lasagna, however, all is right with the world. --Tom Keogh

Yippee-Garfield and Odie! January 7, 2009 I remember watching the Halloween special as a kid before going out to trick-or-treat, and the additional two holiday specials are great too, but really just a bonus because I don't remember them. Anyway, this set is wonderful, and of course it's definitely kid-friendly--for all ages!
Garfield: Holiday Celebrations January 6, 2009 The grandkids loved this! It was difficult to pull them away from the living room, so they would come to the table to eat Christmas dinner.
What we've got here are three fantastic holidays January 4, 2009 Tese are some of the best animated TV specials that have ever aired on television. Garfield, Odie, and Jon are here to celebreat Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. "Garfield's Halloween Adventure" is my personal favorite out of three of them, because it's sometimes unusually creepy for a Garfield cartoon. "A Garfield Christmas" is a fan favorite, because it contains lots of dramatic material (and Pat Carroll as Grandma!). "Garfield's Thanksgiving" is a bit weaker compared to Halloween and Christmas, but it's still good entertainment nonetheless. So the next time these three holidays are around, I'll be watching these cartoons for sure!
