Product Description Today, 46 years after the UFO abduction of Betty and Barney Hill, more and more people are convinced that UFOs are real and their existence is being covered up by the government. If you have doubts or questions about the Hill case or alien experiences in general, Captured! will give you the answers you're searching for. The 1961 abduction of the Hills stirred worldwide interest, primarily because of the book The Interrupted Journey, the subsequent media coverage, and a 1975 TV movie, The UFO Incident. The case is mentioned in almost all UFO abduction books. It also became a target for debunkers, who still attack it today. But the complete story of what really happened that day, its effect on the participants, and the findings of investigators has never been told...until now. In Captured! you'll get an insider's look at the alien abduction, previously unpublished information about the lives of the Hills before and after Barney's death in 1969, their status as celebrities, Betty's experiences as a UFO investigator, and other activities before her death in 2004. Kathleen Marden, Betty Hill's niece, shares details from her discussions with Betty and from the evidence of the UFO abduction. She also looks at the Hills' riveting hypnosis sessions about their time onboard the spacecraft. The transcripts of these sessions provide insight into the character of the aliens, including their curiosity, their democratic discussions, and their desire to avoid inflicting pain. In addition, co-author, physicist, and ufologist Stanton T. Friedman, the original civilian investigator of the Roswell Incident, reviews and refutes the arguments of those who have attacked the Hill case, including the star map Betty Hill saw inside the craft and later recreated.

Incredible story. December 2, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
There is nothing I could say, that would even come close to the story of these two people. What would you do if you were driving alone with you're spouse, on the way to you're honeymoon, and were abducted by ALIENS?
If you were two good people, who didnt want to make any money from this nightmare, and would be happy if the whole nightmare would just go away, then you would do just as they did.
No body during that time in U.S.history would have told any one this, to make money or to get attention. Now, yes.--- Back then no.
This is the first documented, true story, of an Alien abduction, with actual evidence. If ANY story would be worth looking at, it would be this one. After reading this, I started to feel different about our country as a whole, and the people who run it. Is that good or bad ? All I know is the book is that good.
If you are a ufo junkie or want to just test the waters a little bit then this is the first book you should read. Every thing started with this case.
At last, the official story July 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had heard and read a lot about the Betty and Barney Hill Case since I first saw "The UFO Incident" on TV. I never did read Mr Fuller's book "The Interrupted Journey" on the Hill case. I was excited to hear Stanton Friedman had co-authored a book about the case. The whole case is presented here with some details never before released. The book looks at physical evidence (Betty's dress, the circles on the car) and the rarely talked about radar confirmation from Pease AFB. I admit I could not put this book down once I started, and even got some goosebumps when the abduction is gone through. I have an open mind about flying saucers, but I am not one to believe every story. I do believe Betty and Barney Hill were actually abducted. The famed star maps gets another work out again, and they still hold up to scrutiny. All the other theories and explanations get looked at to. From Barney thinking he saw the show "Outer Limits" (I recently saw the episode "The Bellero Shield"), to the planet Jupiter. The Hills come across as more human than ever before. Betty's niece, Kathleen Marden (who co-wrote the book) also talks about her aunt's other UFO sightings that marred the story. I am glad the authors kept in Betty's more colorful stuff as debunkers would point out that part of Betty's life. They also write of the older Betty who didn't believe the modern abduction stories. There is a lot of information in this book, and I'm betting the reader won't be able to put it down.

Stanton Friedman: One of the very few scientists ufologists who make sense. He researches the topic. He provides uncontested data. He defied the arrogant scientists. He studied the phenomena as an honest scientist. He spent 30 years investigation Ufos. He knows! He knows! His books are the very core of Ufology. He is the ONE!

Good In-Depth review of a the first really published abduction May 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book goes into more and newer details than any previous ones written on Barney and Betty Hill. A great read, hard to put down. The authors go into more detail on many aspects of the Hill's abduction in 1961.

The B. Hill's story ushered in a new era of investigative studies in ufology. The accounts are documented and scientific approach is accurate. Stanton Friedman is a prominent figure and noted ufologist. You can trust this man. He says it the way it is. A precise line of thoughts and convincing findings. A great book for sure. Buy it!
