This was not Micheal Smith at his best I give 2 stars. George Bretz.
Awesome perfomance January 24, 2003 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This a very good concert. The only thing I don't like about it is that the guitar needs to louder. Other than that, this is one of my favorite CDs. It's cool to hear the original studio versions of these songs and then listen to the live versions. Some the songs if not all, are played differently than the studio versions. Which is an awesome thing to do live. Plus there are two great songs (Nothing but the blood and I know) on here that are not on any Michael W. Smith CD.
Live Set (LIVE) - Michael W. Smith August 18, 2002 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am a fan of Michael W. Smith and enjoy most of the music he has written. However, this album I found to be too loud and some of the words of the songs are hard to hear. I have severeral albums by him and his album "Lead You Home" is a truly remarkable CD of a gifted songwriter/singer.
Awesome concert!!!! March 6, 2001 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was at the concert from this tour and this album expresses the energy and fun of that time period. One of my top 10 albums!!! When I'm down this is the one I pick up to get me happy again. Just close your eyes and pretend you are at an incredible concert. Enjoy!!!!!!
Extraordinarily poor recording January 11, 2001 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
I've been a MWS fan since about 1988, and there really isn't a song by him that I do not like. In fact, to this day, he remains my all-time favority male contemporary Christian soloist. I've seen him twice in concert at Creationfest West and thoroughly enjoyed his live performances, but this CD is awful. It in no way captures the energy and talent that this guy has--the recording quality is absolutely abysmal, sounding as if it were recorded by some concertgoer in the crowd who smuggled in an old tape recorder (or an answering machine, for that matter). If you want to know what MWS is like in concert--go to one--he's extremely entertaining and a wonderfully talented artist...just stay away from this CD. I hate to rain on the little parade of 5-star reviews here, but if you have anything more than a cheap boom box on which to listen to this CD, you'll likely regret your purchase (I've listened to my copy twice and can't bear to pull it out and listen to it again). Stick with his legitimate studio recordings and you won't be sorry.
