Boy, is "Anon.Country Fan" OFF KEY!!! June 3, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
First of all, let me address that "Anon.Fan's" comments. Aside from the incorrect grammar and spelling, which I can overlook. Where has this "NON-FAN" been? Did it not hear about The Crabb Family's Grammy nominations and the many, many, Dove awards won by the Family and by Jason Crabb? What about their multi-talented father, Gerald Crabb, who not only wrote "Through the Fire" but also numerous other VERY SUCCESSFUL hits on every CD they've recorded, with the exception of "Blur the Lines". Not only did Gerald write all of those glorious lyrics, he also wrote all of the music. You need to check out the facts before you dog a group who has paid their dues. AND, it wouldn't hurt for you to listen to one of Jason's or Gerald's or Aaron's or Adam's CHRISTIAN TESTIMONIES. These people are the real deal. They are not only talented, but they are also children of God who are living the right life. Now for the review of this CD. It's extremely hard to pick a favorite on this one because so many are so good. Jason's "I'd Rather Have Jesus" is sung straight from the soul and it is GREAT. Then, there's Adam's "Friend of God"...boy does this one get the house rocking! "Holding Out Hope to You" by Aaron is another great rendition. Then there's their beautiful sister, Terah Penhollow, who, by-the-way, glows when she sings on "I Go to the Rock". For the "Anon.Fan", who thinks they aren't attractive, take a look at Kelly Bowling, Mike's wife and Terah's sister. Not only is she beautiful, she does a great performance on "Call on Jesus" and her testimony is also straight from the heart. Jason also does a wonderful performance of "Redeemer"...this really exhibits his powerful voice. What a talent he is! Check out the facts "Anon" and get them straight before you write another review. God will forgive you for your errors, all you need to do is ask.
Truly annointed March 1, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Jason Crabb visited our church a few months ago and sang during worship service. My husband and I were blown away. Little did we know, he was part of an awesome, spirit-filled group (we usually listen to more contemporary christian-rock music.) I had no idea how big they are. I saw the previews to the Dove Awards and there was a clip of Jason on there so I began searching for him online. They are nominated for at least 4 awards this year, one being Artist of the Year. Funny how God throws those little coincidences at you every once in a while.
E Snipes/Winterfest Made A Believer Out of Me!!!!!! February 28, 2007 I agree with Dudley. Anonymous "Country Fan" has serious issues. REALLY SERIOUS ISSUES!!!!! I recently returned from Winterfest in Branson MO. Winterfest is a weekend retreat for teens from several states. To make a long story short, the Crabb Family headlined on Friday night and they rocked. I was honestly upset about them being there at first b/c I thought they were too "country" or "old fashioned" for the teens at Wnterfest. I WAS WRONG!!!!!! The Crabb Family played a set with a live band and they tore the roof off that auditorium!!! I looked around several times and the vast majority of kids there (roughly 2,000) were really into the show. A couple of the Crabb Family brothers even played their own instruments as well. Specifically the guitar and harmonica. Let me tell you those boys could play. After the show, I would say more than half of our youth group was at the Crabb Family's table. They were annointed and on fire for the Lord. Jason Crabb, the lead singer even did the Saturday moring sermon and he did an excellent job with that too. Don't listen to "Anonymous" find wherever the Crabb Family is playing live and check it out.
Crabb Family is the best December 22, 2006 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is one of my favorite cd's from the Crabb Family. They are one of the best groups out there.
Blessed by The Crabb Family Music December 20, 2006 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Our family loves the Crabb family singers. Not sure 'who' that person is that is writing negative comments on everything belonging to The Crabb family, but it must be someone with an axe to grind and nothing to do with truly knowing who the Crabb Family is and enjoying Christian southern gospel. The Crabb Family has truly blessed my husband and I with their spirit-filled music. My favorite song of all time is "Through the Fire".
