Amazon.com It's no secret that life's darkest moments often place us face-to-face with whatever, or wherever, we've placed our faith. That is the emotional climate listeners will find themselves in with Third Day's Wherever You Are, the band's eighth major release and a transparent and stark portrayal of where one finds the reason to carry on. Dealing with a number of recent personal tragedies, the band has forged its finest work to date with a collection of material that ranges from raging rockers to contemplative worship songs. The release opens with the take-no-prisoners urgency of "Tunnel" and finds singer Mac Powell offering hope in the face of difficulty and backed by the driving guitar work of Brad Avery and Mark Lee. The first single, "Cry Out to Jesus," simmers in a lyrical candor that can't help but be an emotional powerhouse as the song is carried by the band's rocking spirit. "I Can Feel It" is another wall-of-sound, guitar storm guaranteed to move you. Worship roots remain strong (see Offerings and Offerings II) as well for Third Day and we can find them on the reflective "Communion." Never ones to back down from the delicate issues, Third Day tackles church hypocrisy and judgmental attitudes with the searing "How Do You Know." The passion and talent of Third Day shines brightly here, making it the band's finest moment and one of Christian rock's best releases in recent memory. --Michael Lyttle

Third Day--Wherever You Are September 30, 2008 Third Day is a great cd. It is up lifting christian music. You can't help but to get on fire for God while listening.
3rd Day Wherever U are January 23, 2008 "Wherever You are" is another move upward by 3rd Day, progressively towards perfection. From the very first song, "Light at the end of the Tunnel" provides the opening msg for the entire album. All songs are powerfully written and performed, with "Cry out to Jesus" the most radio-popular, but every song is intense with honesty ('Who do you think you are': warning to religiosity and pious minded super-imposers who attempt to negatively influence people)and doctrine:"Communion". This is Through and Through Third Day's Best effort, and far outshines most Contemporary Christian artists today, with the only comparable challenge being David Crowder.
been down this has helped January 6, 2008 As someone who has hit a rough time in their life when my daughter became very ill, this album has a special place in my heart. It was a dark and scary time and this album was one of my son's favorites at that time. It would play bringing him back and forth to school and it always seemed to reach me when I needed encouragement or began to feel lost. I actually found myself in tears at times. I have read a review that it was too "lyrically simple". Maybe you have to have gone through a time like this, but overly complicted would not have reached me to be quite frank. I am going to send this CD to a friend with a child in the pediatric ICU. I think it will encourage her and her husband too. I also found it a good work musically and I have really enjoyed listening to it. Everyone likes differant styles of music, but it is a solid album!
Awesome and a great blessing!!! December 10, 2007 Love it!!! Awesome CD, a great blessing and you will love it too! All their best songs in one CD. Can't beat that! This is the second CD I have brought of Third day already. Great blessing!
Great! September 11, 2007 This is a great album with great theology. It has catchy tunes and lyrics. It's a bit more "main stream" than I am used to with Third Day, but a great album nonetheless.
