Best deal out there December 2, 2008 I bought this to replace a five year old Epson. This is my first canon and my first all in one. The quick setup instructions were easy to follow and no problems installing on vista x64. Ive already printed about ten 4x6 (photos) and forty 8.5x11 (black text) on the highest quality setting and it still says that I have full tanks. The scans take really long on its highest setting and a full 8.5x11 scan takes about 410mb but the quality is great. The copy and print speeds are great. Overall a great printer that hasnt let me down and exceed my expectations.
Ink is a BIG problem December 2, 2008 I finally replaced my antique printer with this, and the problems with ink cartridges are unacceptable. I rarely print color, have everything set to black only, and have still blown through color cartridges in a couple of months, and now get the "ink cartridge not recognized" error message, which renders the machine totally useless. There is no reason the machine should not print in black only when it can't recognize a full color cartridge so I consider this a huge design flaw. I do not refill cartridges and only use Canon cartridges purchased from the same retailer as the printer. The print quality is fine . . . when it is willing to print. I would not recommend this printer.
CANON PIXMA MP610 PRINTER December 1, 2008 RECEIVED CANON MP610 PRINTER IN GREAT SHAPE IN 4 DAYS. PRINTER WAS EASY TO SET UP. PRINTS BETTER THAN ANY OF MY OLD PRINTERS. PHOTO PRINTS ARE GREAT.
Great product at a low price December 1, 2008 I purchased this printer rather than buy more cartridges for my Dell printer that jambed all the time. Those expensive cartridges were half the cost of a new printer with cartridges and I was not stuck buying inflated cartridges from Dell

I'm amazed at the photo quality and speed at geting the job done. I replaced a lexmark 5400 with it. That thing was a real dinosaur. Not to mention an ink hog. The ink cartridges are actually reasonably priced in comparison. I wouldn't trade it for anything else. very pleased in Washington state
