MY BABY IS AN EPIPHONE.... September 23, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
WHOEVER SAID THIS THING IS GOOD FOR METAL HAD IT NAILED, BUT IT'S ALSO GREAT FOR BLUES AND HARD ROCK. THE SOUND IS AMAZING PLUGGED OR UNPLUGGED, THE BOARD IS EASY TO SLIDE ALL OVER AND THE BODY. IT'S LIGHT AND FOR A LEFTY PLAYING A RIGHTY THE STRAP KNOBS ARE PLACED PERFECTLY (ONE ON THE BACK, ONE ON THE BOTTOM.) BUY THIS THING YOU'LL REGRET IT IF YOU DON'T.I WAS GOING TO BUY THE SG-400 GOTH SERIES, BUT THEN I SAW THIS.
SG very special April 3, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Marvellous sound, true metal, perfect tone, superfast neck and a great quality of workmanship. nearly as good as a Gibson SG.
Excellent Guitar August 14, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Great action, heavy sound light guitar...I've played Gibsons and this one is truly an Epiphone for someone seeking quality and value at a fraction of the Gibson price.
vs. coil and maple wood July 30, 2006 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
This guitar, when looked at from a technological point of view on produced sound, is ideal for a 'custom' metal sound. People say that the maple assists to the production of a ligther, thinner sound. The rosewood has no actual change to the sound. The humbuckers are more preferred to a coil, because it is responsible for a thicker sound. This combination is ideal if you belong to the metal, preferably death metal, genre.
