    Editorial Reviews:

    Product Description
From authors Ruth McHaney Danner and Cristine Bolley comes a collection of meditations that quilters, both veterans and novices, will enjoy. Each of the fifty-plus chapters includes a true story on a quilt-related theme, followed by "The Quilting Frame" (a spiritual application), "God's Template" (a relevant Scripture), "The Binding Stitch" (a brief prayer), and the "Scrap Bag" (a practical quilting tip). The authors' hope is that readers will "come to realize that the ultimate Giver of comfort is God Himself, who sometimes offers His comfort through human hands holding needles and thread and scissors and fabric."

5 out of 5 stars Quilt Prayer book   February 18, 2007

I love to read this book one story at a time and reflect upon the story and the message. It is a must for any quilter that feels the connection between the person that made the quilt and the person that receives it. Quilts are more than just blankets - they are a true expression of love.

As a new quilter I enjoyed the "scrap bag" tips, as a Christian I enjoyed the applications of God's word in everyday situations. I am passing this around to my quilting friends to read. It deepened my conviction that God is present in ALL activities and loves to get glory by our creative efforts.

4 out of 5 stars Devotionals for Quilters   October 31, 2006

Short inspiring stories from fellow quilters are each followed by:

    1. Quilting Frame - the lesson, moral-like
    2. God's Template - scripture verse
    3. The Binding Stitch - prayer
    4. Scrap Bag - application

Some stories are common to all of us, some extraordinary. A good devotional to have if you love quilts or quilting.

5 out of 5 stars Quilting Group Book   October 2, 2005

This book is being used as a devotional in our church quilting group. It is a well-written compilation of short stories written by a quilter. There are quilting tips along with these short meditations that are comforting as well as drawing our group closer to each other.
