Product Description
A classic has been brought back. The NASB Open Bible has traditionally been the best selling NASB study Bible and the best selling of the Open Bibles. Book introductions by Walk Thru the Bible and the best study tool ever created, the Biblical Cyclopedic Index, make this a truly dynamic study tool. The New American Standard Bible is known as being the best translation for the study of the words of Scripture. The combination is unbeatable.

Great Bible November 3, 2008 This bible is really becoming a difficult find but it was well worth the perseverence. Great Bible for the serious student of the bible. The references and study aids makes this bible a must for your library.

I LIKE THIS BIBLE BUT...IN LESS THAN 3 MONTHS THE BINDING IS COMING LOOSE IN THE LAST CHAPTERS HEB.-REVELATION. I DID NOT KEEP RECEIPT BECAUSE I NEVER DREAMED THIS COULD BE SUCH SHODDY WORKMANSHIP, MADE IN CHINA!
Very good study Bible. . . May 15, 2008 I have always used the Open Study Bibles. They are pact full of information but it isn't overwhelming. The word helps and the section separation are all in just the right place to make for easy reading and in depth studying without having to have a pile of books that you have to go back an forth from. The Biblical index is invaluable, and the study helps in the back and at the bottom of some pages are great and very balanced in their viewpoints. However, I would like to see a concordance in the back and I certainly missed the articles from the old "New Open Bible" study ed. Also, I have the bonded leather and after I first got it about a year and 1/2 ago some of the maps and other page fell out, but I super glued the back very carefully and no more have fallen out since.
Great Bible! February 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This Bible is great, it is for sure the very best of all the "study" bibles, this one has very concise, easy to understand charts, graphs and timelines, as well as good introductions to each book of the Bible explaining the times that it happened and other useful information. Very handy for adults such as myself preparing for church teachings or even older children studying God's word. Highly recommended.
May be the best study Bible... Worth owning even if you own other study Bibles December 11, 2005 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
This may not the most glamorous or flashiest study Bible on the market, but it could well be the best. If it your wish to understand passages in depth, enrich yourself with the Word, and grow in knowledge, this is an excellent choice of study Bible.
THE BIBLICAL CYCLOPEDIC INDEX is a tool which no other Bible has. It isn't just a "word search" tool, but an index of ideas, subdivided like ideas, not just words.
THE BOOK INTRODUCTIONS AND OUTLINES are extremely helpful and insightful; the outlines may be the best I have ever seen. You could preach from these if you wanted to. The intros give useful information, not just historical trivia that will never help you study the word or walk with the Lord.
So many other features are here. The charts, the Christian Life studies. One thing absent is "bottom of the page" commentary so common in study bibles. I don't miss them with this book.
The Open Bible Expanded Edition makes studying the Bible exciting, relevant and an important part of your Christian life.
This edition is not so huge like other study Bibles, but is large enough and has enough helps that you will glad for the bit of extra size, without having to complain about heaving around a library.
I have criticized other Bibles for having poor leather. This leather edition is not very supply or luxurious, but I am giving it a pass because the edition is so useful. I just may have this Bible re-bound by a professional book binder in goatskin. I would like to have it for a long, long time.
I also wish this Bible used the 1995 NASB version, instead of the 1977, but you can't have everything in any Bible edition, let alone a study Bible. There are too many features and variables on the market, and if you're waiting for the perfect combination of your favorite features, you will never read the Bible.
Buy this Bible and start enjoying it as soon as you can. It needs to be pushed to the top of the list of the Best Study Bibles so people will give it more attention.
