| Customer Reviews:
Interesting Approach April 15, 2000 By studying Mark through the light of two little-used lenses (namely, feminist criticism and a Japanese perspective) the author is able to find some startling insights into this gospel. She shines brightest when comparing Mark's social background to Japanese society. Here she is able to relate to a patriarchal culture in a way that most Westerners cannot.
