 Not the best version, but very ergonomic October 10, 2008
Not a fan of the Amplified Bible. Also, the Japanese is translated from the English, not the Greek. However, it is easy to understand, and a great tool to use for anyone going to visit Japan. I gave this to my girlfriend before she went to Japan to study for a year. Great evangelism tool.

While working with a teenager from Japan who is unfamiliar with Christianity, I have had great difficulty explaning certain words used in other Japanese and English Bible translations. The student tells me that they are doing much better in understanding what the Bible is talking about using the Paraphrased Living Bible.
WOW ! Understandable Japanese with Understandable English February 25, 2006

Our English and Bible students (Japanese women) say this Japanese version is the easiest to understand compared with other versions. And here it is in parallel columns with the brilliant English Bible paraphrase that speaks ordinary English. The best thing for us foreigners is the pronunciation marks over all the Chinese characters. It helps us learn how to explain the Bible in ordinary Japanese language. The only problem is this is only the New Testament.
