Fantastic Movie!!! October 5, 2002 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
We really enjoyed Jonah!! Our daughter is 3yrs. old & she loves the Veggie Tales! This movie was her first "theater" experience, so the sights & sounds were HUGE... It was a fun movie! She kept asking if Bob & Larry were going to come out on stage after the show......... :) The message Jonah sends out is also HUGE!! I recommend all families to check this one out! You will get more from this rated G movie than you would ever expect. The animation & songs are great too!! Finally a movie that can be enjoyed by the ENTIRE family!!!!
Outstanding Film For Everyone! October 1, 2002 37 out of 39 found this review helpful
I saw a premier showing of Jonah and I could not believe the quality of the animation, the incredible music, and a very well told story. I thought every aspect was outstanding. My kids are 6 & 9 and they loved it and were singing the songs afterwards. As a dad I thought it provided positive messages I want reinforced in my children. I cannot recommend it highly enough. It is certainly one of the the best kids movies I have seen. In fact, if I did not have kids I would have loved it too.
Good for the little ones September 29, 2002 4 out of 19 found this review helpful
This one looks like a good one to take the kids to. It probably won't be a big hit, but it will probably have an uncomplicated plot and humor that children will find entertaining.
A great time for a great show to be made into a movie September 28, 2002 6 out of 21 found this review helpful
This film really looks promosing. Even thought the tv show isn't preachy, I'll bet they tone this down religiously (the plot tells us so). There is a new version of The Pirates who Don't Do Anything by a real band! The film looks very funny and silly for all ages, like a toned down Shrek. I think that this film will do at least pretty good in the box office. This film, from the about a dozen trailers and clips I've seen looks like a family-friendly masterpeice about a big whale. Of course, you will love this If you already love veggietales, but if your'e new to this series, "here's an easy way to start ." That is in quotes because it is a quote from Madame Blueberry, my favorite veggietales tape. So your'e thinking, how do I know by a trailer? Phil Vischeir is an excellent entertaining animatore who can adapt to the movie genre. He's made this more for the general public than the tapes, but that's what a movie is. Plus, I have the sing along tape, so I've heard and seen the songs, plus I have the soundtrack. This looks funny, and, I know that it's annoying to read a review from somebody who hasn't seen the film, but I've seen trailers, a 30 minute tape of songs, the soundtrack, and I'll update my review as soon as I see the film.
Should be good August 19, 2002 14 out of 28 found this review helpful
This movie should be good. Probably won't be a box office hit. Please show this movie support!
