Like anything worthwhile May 2, 2007 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
This takes time and patience to watch. It is not Hollywood, thank goodness. Whether one agrees with the characters portrayed by Peter and Paul or not one can't help but sense the power that the simple gospel message brought to a world desparate for good news. Vision Video has done a great job in making events that happened 2,000 years ago alive and relevant today.

Excellent Portrayal of Paul February 13, 2007 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
Anthony Hopkins is obviously a great actor, and his portrayal of Paul is no exception. His portrayal at first of Saul and his subsequent conversion experience are outstanding, and really show the depth of commitment Saul had to his Jewish heritage. The best scene of the movie is when he is lying blind several days after being confronted by Jesus on the road to Damascus, and Ananias comes in to find him quietly reciting the Psalms. It is a very moving scene. Much of the dialogue is taken straight from Acts. As some reviewers have noted, the portrayal of Peter is weak by comparison. Also, the DVD is not in widescreen format, and there is no surround sound track. Thus not a full 5 stars. But great story and well told.
DVD doesn''t work February 6, 2007 3 out of 15 found this review helpful
It's the second time I buy this DVD and for the second time it doesn't work. The whole DVD has problems, the scenes jump and jump and jump, one can't see the story of Peter and Paul. The first one I tried to fix and screwed it up this time I didn't even bother. The worst of it all is that I really wanted to see this series because it has great actors, and I couldn't BECAUSE THE DVD DOESN'T WORK.
