Veggie Tales: A Snoodles Tales A Lesson in Self Worth July 14, 2008 My daughter loves the Veggie Tales and I love the lessons. We watch this over and over and sing the songs all day long!!!
hooray for veggies May 2, 2008 Bought this for a second time. The first one got damaged but my children love it so much they kept asking for it so I bought it again.
Why Are We Here? April 27, 2008 A Snoodle's Tale is quite possibly my all-time favorite Veggie Tales story. The scene begins in a "Dr. Suess like" setting. Colorful and bright with many unique characters. When the newest snoodle arrives in town, the others find all the weaknesses in the little one. Quickly becoming discouraged, he searches for his purpose. Finally on the mountain top he discovers why he was created.
The story is a strong reminder that God made everyone for a purpose. We are all special, no matter what small minded people may say about us. When we finally accept the good news, our burden is made lighter. And we too can take flight like the small snoodle.
You'll feel better about yourself after watching this story. And your child will too.
Levi and Janna's mom March 24, 2008 I have loved all of the Veggie Tales since the very beginning, but this is one of the best (An Easter Carol tops it)! What an amazing way to tell children that they are loved by God.
Everyone is capable of greatness February 15, 2008 This movie had a Dr. Suess feel. It had that rhythmic rhyme, and the main character is born from an oddly animated machine, not spooky, just very Suess. The main character, Snoodle Doo, feels like he isn't very good at anything. All the other Snoodles add to his poor self-image, by drawing negative pictures of him and sticking them in his back pack.
He finally comes across a cave where he meets his Creator. It is such a warm and golden moment, filled with love and hope, it warms the soul. At first he doesn't realize who he's met, and just explains how inadequate he is. Then his Creator draws him a picture showing him how He sees him. He looks like a Super Snoodle, very grand and flying through the air. Snoodle Doo has difficulty believing it until his Creator explains that He can see all Snoodle Doo is capable of, because He created him. Snoodle Doo leaves with renewed faith and hope in himself, and the rest of his world.
I was moved by this movie. While I find it difficult to watch the build-up, where the other Snoodles are being so mean, the ending is worth it.
