5 out of 5 stars Canticle Uplifts me in my vocation as a Catholic mother   March 21, 2007

During the four years I've been a Canticle reader, I've not been disappointed. The articles are wonderfully written and never fail to uplift me in my vocation as a Catholic mother. When my magazine arrives, I retreat to a quiet place to read and I find I am inspired to work harder to love and serve our Lord through my work at home. I highly recommend it to all Catholic women regardless of their state in life.

5 out of 5 stars A refreshing Catholic perspective that provides inspiration for women in all walks of life   March 9, 2007

I've always been a magazine junkie, but I've been disillusioned in recent years by the secular media offerings for women. Even the most innocuous women's publications on newsstands today too often marble in thoughts and ideas that go against my Catholic belief system. Thankfully, I can not only enrich my faith life with a magazine like Canticle, but I can also find recipes, how-to articles, and other features that simply relate to my role as a wife, mom, and woman. If you're looking for a publication that is enjoyable to read while at the same time serves a higher purpose by helping you develop a deeper relationship with Christ and the Church, then look no further than Canticle.

5 out of 5 stars An Oasis of Faith for Thoughtful Catholic Women   February 27, 2007

Did you know that St. Elizabeth Seton struggled with depression, or that Catholic bishops have written a pastoral letter on behalf of victims of domestic violence? If you subscribed to Canticle, you would! If you're hungry for more substantial fare than is found in many women's magazines, Canticle is for you! Packed with real-life stories from women a lot like you -- whatever your personal vocation. Wives and mothers (both stay-at-home and "working mothers") as well as single and religious all will find something of interest. Recent features include journaling, icons, Byzantine traditions, pastoral relationships, depression, domestic violence, eating disorders, and helping soldiers re-enter civilian life. Pick up a copy of Canticle -- you'll soon be singing its praises, too!

5 out of 5 stars Thoughtful, Intelligent, Reverant and Beautiful   February 26, 2007

I've enjoyed reading Canticle magazine for several years and have enjoyed my own personal subscription for the past year. When I receive the latest edition, I always make time to peruse it and then frequently take several reading sessions to fully enjoy the magazine. This is largely because Canticle's content is not typical women's magazine content - the articles are relevant to the liturgical year, reverent and thought provoking and always well written.

Articles range from faith and family topics to saint profiles, health and well being, and even wonderful family recipes. Each issue seems to bring new topics and issues, building upon the magazine's foundational spiritual core.

I have greatly enjoyed being a Canticle subscriber and would strongly recommend the magazine to other women looking to grow in their faith.

Canticle Magazine is absolutely beautiful. The articles are substantial and enjoyable to read. Every Catholic woman should see this magazine. It's an inspiration to read, and always leaves me feeling uplifted and ready to try a little harder to live a virtuous life.
