This is a awesome cd because its a worship cd with some new ones and some old ones which is pretty cool. The best thing bout Offerings is that every song means something to you. This was the best cd i have ever owned!
Another Smash Hit For Third Day! July 12, 2000 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This album is everything a fan wants. Not only are there GREAT new tracks like ALL THE HEAVENS and YOU'RE EVERYWHERE, but old favorites such as MY HOPE IS YOU, and LOVE SONG as well and they're LIVE, too. Mac and the boys are ever pleasing not only us fans, but manage to praise God whole-heartedly in the process. Their love for God is strongly conveyed in every song. The best new song on this album is sure to quickly become a fan favorite..... All the Heavens... written by Mark Lee. This is surprising because Mac writes 95% of all their stuff. This song is sucessfully reminecient of old hymns with a ruff modern twist and Mac's unique voice offers a great finishing touch. And when you think it's all over... be patient. There's a hidden track! I don't believe it's Third Day. I could find no credits, but my guess is it's Jacob's Trouble,a band that wrote These Thousand Hills which also appears on this album. It is also a great addition to this album and a great worship song. The most surprising thing about this album? Track no.5 SAVED written by Bob Dylan! Mac and the guys do a great job with this 80's favorite and it is a rockin' toe-tapper. Even if you're not a fan of 3D yet this is the perfect TIME to join. Not only is this a great worship album, but it could be called 3d's GREATEST HITS!
finally! July 12, 2000 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Third Day has been one of my favorite groups for several groups, and I've always enjoyed the praise songs they have on their albums. It's great to have them all together, in one disc with some great new songs like "These Thousand Hills," which they've been performing live. The mix of live and studio tracks works well. Monroe Jones, the producer of Time, also worked with the guys on this album. He does a great job of capturing the essence of the group, making them sound distinct. Don't forget to check out the bonus track for a special treat!
Stupendous! New tracks and live version! July 11, 2000 21 out of 22 found this review helpful
Yet another fabulous album by Third Day! There are a number of never-before-heard tracks as well as live tracks from recent concerts. The booklet includes all of the lyrics, messages from the band and a few pictures. The disc itself is designed to look like a reel on an old reel-to-reel tape machine with a piece of masking tape stuck on it... very nifty. When you remove the CD, the clear case below features a shot of the band playing before a large audience. The same rough & raw sound, penetrating lyrics and beautiful voices (lead and background vocals) you're already familiar with are here once again, with new and familiar material. The tempo of these songs are not as fast as some of their songs like "Sky Falls Down," but if you're a Third Day fan, you won't be disappointed. For folks who've only heard a few of their singles on the radio, you'll be happy to know that all of their music is of the same caliber of those few songs that get radio play. Easy on the ears and great rockin' music. I highly recommend this disc.
