At the top of his craft July 25, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Pastor Sapp has a finally found his comfort level and has a complete project that blesses you from begining to end. His voice and conviction finds a place in your situation and ministers to it. This album has pushed all other projects to the back of my Ipod. If you want to be ministered to by the greatest singing voice in gospel today, by all means purchase this cd quickly. This record has everything that you will need to get through the day or any situation. What a gift to the body of Christ this voice and vessell is. Buy one for the home and the car......

This is a CD that is not just for yourself but to be used as a ministry tool unto them that may have lost their praise because of going through, or just to continue to encourage someone in their walk, or to usher someone into the presence of GOD through worship or even further into worship and praise. To help strenghten those that may be standing in warfare for their own concerns or for someone else's and need a refreshing to sustain them in their battle. It sends you through every realm of relationship with GOD the FATHER, GOD the SON, GOD the HOLY SPIRIT.
It was alright July 18, 2007 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
This isn't the best Marvin has put out but it wasn't that bad either. Through half of the CD, I really enjoyed the songs and it puts you in praise and worship. Tracks 7 thru 11 were dreadfully boring and I found myself using the skip button. Towards the end of the CD it got better with "Never Would Have Made It" and "Rivers Flow". This was an okay effort done by Mr. Sapp.

This CD has been in my player since I bought it!! The songs have proved to be very emotional, talent filled and a blessing! Be careful while driving, you might need a praise break!!
It's not a CD--it's an experience July 16, 2007 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
If you're a casual fan of gospel music, and haven't heard Marvin Sapp before, he typically creates 3 types of songs: songs about 1) praise & worship, 2) the Names of God/Who God is, and 3) God's blessings and deliverance. All three of these themes are present in 'Thirsty,' which is by far Sapp's most emotional, most journeyed release. The songs are moving, reflective, and place you in a spirit of thankfulness and worship. Not since 'The Rebirth of Kirk Franklin' have I seen a more personal, introspective look at an artist through his/her music. Its one of those CDs that makes you feel like you're at the CONCERT instead. If you enjoy Smallwood, Yolanda, Fred Hammond, or any genre where music comes from the heart, Marvin Sapp's Thirsty won't disappoint.
