 Not up to the Standards of Previous WOW Releases January 1, 2009
In terms of music, this CD definitely has several great songs (especially disc 2). What's strange to me is how each WOW Hits CD is numbered for the year after it was released, while containing songs that may be up to 3 years old, and not from an artist's most current album. Yet, the music is great nonetheless.
The reason why I took away a star is because this version of WOW seems rushed or incomplete. Is it like other things, in the current "tough economy," where they scaled back? If you have WOW Hits 2008, you already have a Britt Nicole song. The same one is repeated in this release. That only gives you 29 original songs.
The way the WOW series has usually worked is that you get 30 regular tracks and 3 bonus tracks (one on disc 1 and two on disc 2). If you read the track listing for this year's CD, they are only giving you 27 normal songs, and 3 "bonus" tracks. To me, that's deceptive and cheap on their part.
Previous WOW Hits albums had some kind of "enhanced CD" feature when you put the disc in your computer. You'd get something as useful as special free downloads, or at least a hyperlink to a website with more content. That is nowhere to be found in this CD set! It was very disappointing to me.
In summary, if you love the latest Christian music, and want an easy or affordable way to have lots of hit songs in one place, this is a good purchase.
If you're used to 33 songs, totally original music (not repeats from last year's CD) and the enhanced features, then you'll be left wanting more.

Good mix of songs December 21, 2008
I love WOW cd's. This one is great just like the last. It's nice that the one cd has a different mood than the second one. One cd is mild soothing songs, and the next one is more upbeat. The song choices were very good also. I enjoyed them all. I would also highly suggest the WOW 2008 cd.
Another year of some great music December 17, 2008
This album might not have had some of my person favorites but nevertheless has some good music. I can't give you any well thought out synopsis of the album other than I like it and that, like other WOW albums, it has helped to widen the range of "Christian" music that I listen to.
