Unable to get it to work December 1, 2008 I bought a HD camcorder, but when I try to plug it in using the cord I purchased from this vendor there is no signal. The monitor is HD ready, and the camcorder is HD. Yet I was unable to get the Monitor to recognize the external device.
I have followed all the Visio 26" directions, as well as the Panasonic digital camera directions. No signal transmits.
BEWARE HG-10 OWNERS November 29, 2008 I've just received my mini HDMI cable and found that it does not work at all. I guess I should've researched more but I thought it was a no brainer. it's just a cable right? Wrong! I have since found (on other forums as well that this cable will not work properly (if at all) with the Canon HG-10 camcorder. Hope I can exchange this and invest in Canon's HTC-100. NOTE the one star rating is because this post would not go through unless at least one star is selected.
Quality Control Is Poor November 21, 2008 I bought the Canon HF-10 a week ago - it is a great camcorder. I also bought this Trip Lite Mini-HDMI to HDMI cable. When the items arrived, I tested the camera and was very happy. I then tried to play videos over mu Sony 52" HDTV through the HDMI port with this cable. It did not work at all. I began to worry about whether it was the cable or the HF-10 HDMI port. The component cable supplied by Canon worked great on HDTV in 1080i but not the HDMI. Finally, after a lot of investigation (several hours) I had my wife buy a SONY cable (about $40). It worked superbly! It appears to me that the quality control on these Tripp Lite cables is very poor. Reading the review you see that a lot arrived and did not work. I think Amazon should withdraw this item. I know that cables are a high profit item for electronics vendors. You can get them cheaper on e-bay if you shop around. Going for the Tripp Lite version cost me waste a lot of time. The HF-10 camera surely is great!

Tripp Lite Mini-HDMI cable 6 feet November 17, 2008 The cable didn't work for me and I let a friend who had a working one check it on his system and it did not work for hiom either. I haven't found my receipt yet to try to send it back.
Does not work with HDR-SR12! Don't buy it! November 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I read all the comments before ordering it (to use with my hdr-sr12) and thought there might be a problem specifically using it with canon camcorders. I noticed more +ive reviews than -ive and decided to order it. I just got it in mail today; tried it and it didn't work! Actually, it worked only when I tilted my camcorder. If I placed the camcorder on a flat surface, I didn't get voice or video. I will most likely return it and get a descent one.
