Better than expected December 22, 2008 The stand is heavier and more solidly built than I had expected. It was easy to put together, although the instructions were slightly wrong. Specifically, the instructions said that the screws were already in the stand and would need to be unscrewed before putting the legs on, when in fact the screws were in the bag with the instructions.
The lowest hight setting is OK for sitting in my chair and playing, but not as low as I expected. I think this stand may have been designed for people who play standing.
The stand itself is fairly stable, but when I put my keyboard on it only three of the four corners touch the stand. I don't know if this is due to the stand not being flat or if the bottom of my keyboard isn't flat. In any case, this hasn't caused much problems playing.
My biggest complaint is that I've had the stand for about a month now, and it still smells a bit like oil.
Keyboard stand review December 17, 2008 My mother-in-law, whom I bought the stand for, was very happy with the strength and stability of the stand, and the company's service was great. However I did have one complaint - the heads of the screws were incredibly soft metal and stripped out FAR TOO easily. I even stripped one out with a screwdriver...and no, I'm not that strong! :) Fortunately I got that end in the right place on the first time.
good for it's price December 11, 2008 Just came today, I put my keyboard on it and the weight seems to make the stand feel flimsy. I tightened the screws on the bottom as tight as they will go, and they still seem not tight enough, so the keyboard is able to wobble. Don't buy this stand if you have keyboard that has some weight to it. It's good for what it is, perfect for a smaller keyboard.
excellent stand October 22, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Yamaha did a fine job on this stand. It's a little bit different than the one pictured in that the upper part of the stand has little extensions to hold the keyboard in place.
This is a good quality stand. For me, it's much better than the one it replaces. I would recommend it.
I have reservations about the mental stability of the individual who left a one star review for this product.
Nice and sturdy stand May 8, 2008 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
It's a pretty sturdy stand. I needed this for my daugter's keyboard and found it on Amazon. It was promptly delivered and in good condition.
