Yamaha YPT-200AD 61 Key Electric Portable Grand Piano with Yamaha Education Suite and AC Adapter January 10, 2007 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Great gift for 10 year son. Likes it and is growing to love learning how to use it. I like messing around with it myself. Now I just have to figure out how to get Karouke on it.;?)
Which keyboard stand should I buy for this keyboard?? December 1, 2006 2 out of 12 found this review helpful
I have just purchased this keyboard for a friend's Christmas present so I have no idea yet of the quality of it. I noticed that several of you have said NOT to buy the recommended stand for it. Which one should I buy? Thank you in advance for any help.
So happy I bought this keyboard... November 28, 2006 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
You will not be dissapointed if you buy this to learn to play the piano on. I've never played piano and now that I'm in my early 30's I would like to teach myself.
This keyboard plays so many songs and there are a couple ways to teach them to yourself. You can listen to how it's supposed to sound and then you can put it in "waiting mode"; the keyboard then lets you try to play the tune, only making a sound when you strike the correct key. You can tell it you only want to use your right hand or your left hand or tell it you want to try using both hands at once...very handy function.
You can make the keys sound like so many different kinds of instruments, flutes, violins, bass', ect. And it has funny noises to play that kids would like I'm sure.
I don't have anything to compare it to, but I think that's okay, because I'm very satisfied that I bought this keyboard. I bought it at our local electronics dealer and had to purchase the adapter seperartely, but Amazon includes it in their package from what I can tell here. If bought seperately you would spend $20 for the adapter alone.
My only complaint is that every time I turn on the piano, the sound is turned WAY up...I just need to get in the habit of turning it all the way down before playing because it scares me otherwise. :)
Have fun with it; I sure will. Practice, practice, practice.
wonderful! November 7, 2006 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
This is an amazing keyboard for the money. Tone is exceptionally beautiful and there are lots of bells and whistles. Only one drawback is the readability of the display box.
a bit disapponted November 6, 2006 25 out of 27 found this review helpful
it doesnt have 'touch' feature. that means that no matter how hard u push the keys they sound the same thus you cannot express any kind of feeling. but for the price it is okay it works-i just need it to do my voice exercises
