The piano is great, good sound, nice action on the regular sized keys, great variety of instruments, sound effects and drums, and at 99.00 bucks, the price can't be beat.
My toddler is occupied for lengthy periods of time banging on the keys with abandon.
On the downside, the accompanying DVD does not work and the manual is not terribly helpful. The music stand is too short. Also, it is not clear how to add/remove songs from the provided directory which is notably lacking in Allman Brothers.
Also, the screen is not terribly big, so I would NOT categorize this as a teaching device since it is too hard to read the keys on the little screen while playing.

I was really looking for an affordable, low-key, semi-portable keyboard that wasn't a toy (or sounded or looked like a toy) for my 4.5-yr.-old to practice on at home after she started piano classes. Of course this keyboard doesn't sound like the $3000 dollar ones, but it's pretty close. And at this price, it's a great deal. I haven't really looked at the functions, yet, but my kids like the tempo settings and demos of course.

I just bought this keyboard and I think its great. I am a beginner and was not sure what type of keyboard to buy, so I did some comparison shopping and decided on this one. There are others out there that have more features, but this one has a tremendous amount of features for the money. It also has great sound. When I become more advanced in my piano skills, I will probably look for something more advanced. But for beginner to intermediate level this keyboard has more than enough features to keep you occupied for a very long time. I definetly recommend this product.

I purchased this keyboard on the advice of a jazz piano instructor. All I can say is the piano has come a long way since I was a kid. The Yamaha YPT 200 is an excellent keyboard. Rich sound and full size keys. To be honest, I did not know what to expect because I was rather ignorant of this product. But after I did my homework on the internet, I decided to take the plunge. You get more for the money with this machine. When I am more advanced with my piano playing,I will purchase a more sophisticated model I love Baby Grands but lets face it they are bigger than my house.I love the classical music folder. The one down side is I can hardly see the screen butI am not going to dwell on that one.Love this keyboard. Try it - you will not regret the purchase. Make sure you purchase the one with the adapter.
