I paid 41$ (including shipping) for this item. It was an excellent purchase. Is it a perfect instrument? no, but I dare you to do better for what I paid for it. Has a good sound and feels good to play. Fret action is a little high for my taste, but it's not bad. Came with some very minor imperfections in the wood finish, but only noticable if you are holding it in your hands. Tuners hold the pitch very well (even with the old strings) and the neck binding is quite comfortable.
The sound is very warm (considering it's a soprano instrument).

I am just learning to play the ukulele and the instrument I purchased from you is ideal. After I become a little more competent, I will definitely upgrad to a more appropriate instrument. I like learning to play and look forward to many months of pleasure. Oscar Schmidt OU2 Ukulele

i got the ukulele for my birthday and within a day i had already learned new songs to play. it was easy to figure out and to tune you have to tune it a couple times but you can find an online tuner that is really great. it is light weight and easy to play and enjoyable. i really enjoy having my ukulele

Yes, this is an unbeatable value and a good uke to learn on, but it doesn't sound all that great compared to say any recording you may ever hear. It is definitely not a toy, though. Stays in tune fairly well. I replaced my strings with Aquila strings and lowered the action and it sounds and plays much better. All in all, this is the best value I could find for something to learn on, but now I'm eager to get something better.

I bought this for my boyfriend who has always wanted one and I have to say... he is the happiest man alive and rarely can I get some him and me time because he's strumming away on it!!
