Great Guitar But One Flaw November 13, 2008 We bought this guitar a year ago for our 12 year old daughter. It plays very well, and the strings haven't broken since. The only thing I would worry about when buying it is that the paint chips really easily. I remember one time our 6 year old son accidently hit it against the wall and the paint chipped a little piece off. But if your really careful with it, you'll enjoy playing this a lot. For beginners, I suggest buying an electronic tuner, because the tuner they give you doesn't really help you tune a guitar that well. xDD
Hope this helped you with your purchase! :]]
Nice but cheap material and strings June 1, 2008 Spend a few extra bucks for better strings. All in all a nice guitar for the price.
Yeah, WYSIWYG August 16, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This item was exactly what I expected it to be. Though G string broke as I was tuning it, the replacement(also sent in that package) works allright... There are few small scratches and the guitar was apparently broken and then fixed again. I say it was fixed, so now its allright. Otherwise, it looks like a guitar and sounds like one, so theres really nothing to complain about. I got what I paid for. Its a good guitar for fifty bucks. A plus for Austin Bazaar. I emphasise beginners and you guys who want an temporary instrument to play your favourite songs (like myself) to consider this one. Its worth the money.
Great for the money July 30, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
For the price, it can't be beat, simply stated. Now that's out of the way, I want to say that the blue paint is really an eye pleaser, but the only issue is that there are some spots were excessive paint has started to run, making it looked a tad rushed, but it's only noticeable if you thoroughly examine it. Also, it did come with a fairly large, but superficial scratch on the front. I don't mind it only because I believe such things give an instrument character, but it may pose a problem to others. Everything else was in fine working order, other than the strings feeling a little cheap, but what's an extra five dollars to add to a great product. I would probably buy another one of these first before I would buy one from wal-mart at twice the price and looking twice as feeble. The accessories are great too, but the bag could use some help... it's only cheat cloth, but it does it's job. This is the second product I have bought from Austin Bazaar, and I still have no reason to complain. Very prompt and communicative service.
Good starter guitar February 6, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
For the money, I doubt you can find a better guitar. I was actually surprised at how well this guitar sounds once I got it tuned. It's good for people with small hands too. It's pretty light and thin, but the sound is great.
