This book does offend. It will offend your fleshly desire to see manifestations, have feelings of euphoria, good vibrations, being swept up in waves of emotion, and our spiritual desire to see a "real move of God." All believers want to be a part of true revival, but as mature Christians we MUST have discernment in this day and time. I did not want to believe that this was not real revival. Even if you think this book is just one man's opinion, Andrew gives you biblicly based tools to test this for yourself. He asks questions that any discerning Christian must ask themselves regarding this revival. You cannot leave the cross, repentance, and holiness out of revival - it must be at the core of true revival. Most of the proponents of the Florida revival say to "keep and open mind and heart" - I ask you to do the same concerning this book. This book is a must read whether you believe the revival in Florida is true or false.

I was involved in the prophetic movement for years and saw a lot of really strange manifestations (even had a few of my own that I have since had to renounce)that at the time were interesting but fruitless. I spent much time seeking God's face saying "If this is You who shed your blood on Calvary and have saved me from my sins than I want it all, but if this isn't The TRUE JESUS than please somehow, someway remove me from all this stuff Lord." I would look around at the people I knew and wonder why their lives were not being changed and becoming more holy and pure. That was my ultimate desire. By the time I was being escorted out by The Lord it was a lot about dreams and visions which overoad biblical teaching and it still is only now including Angels and even more strange manifestations. It's been five years since The Lord delivered me from the prophetic movement and now that I am free from the lies and hype of it all it is very easy to see the deception that the church has bought into. I VERY much appreciate this book and THE WORD OF GOD that backs Andrew Strom's book up. I encourage anyone who has the slightest interest in paying attention to those uncomfortable nigglings they get while hanging around and participating these kinds of events to purchace this book and get a well rounded truthful look at what is a True and False Revival. If nothing else, we won't be able to stand before God and say, "But I didn't know....". Standing Shield to Shield with The True Church. Stephanie

Where there is truth, there is counterfeit. Usually a revival begins on track, but the enemy of God sends his agents to destroy the work and deceive the people. The Bentley revival, however, is demon-inspired and rotten from the beginning. The Israelites were enslaved and scattered time and time again for mixing truth with other gods, and if we sit back and let this New Age monstrosity continue without speaking against it, we are not standing for the pure, undiluted Truth as God requires of us. God will not be mocked.
I just read the book and will pass it on so that others can too. People need to be warned. God bless Andrew Strom and those willing to take a stand against this rubbish in Lakeland, Florida. Men like Bentley, conjuring up devils to do a false work and attributing it to God, are allowed to go on for a time so that God's true people can make up their minds whose (or Whose) side they are really on. The significance of this "revival" is immense - its influence is spreading like a plague around the world. Our Father in Heaven asks, do His people have the discernment that only the Holy Spirit provides to understand what is really going on?
As all false prophets and false priests throughout Bible history have fallen, Todd Bentley as well will fall, once God hears from His people and is able to draw a line. He is sifting His true sheep from within the sheep. There will be many, sadly, as this ghastly display of the demonic in Lakeland, Florida, continues, who will one day hear, "Depart from me, I never knew you." Let's pray that TRUTH PREVAIL. God will deal with the willingly deceived (those who want the "feel good happy high" more than the true Spirit of God); but those who are confused (there is a difference) need OUR IMMEDIATE PRAYERS.
I've heard the arguments of those in favor of the revival - some who have actually been there - and every time, there is an arrogance in their tone. As one reviewer suggests, we must test the spirits. The true God of the Bible who imparts true miracles is not arrogant.

It should be obvious to any reader that this books author is well studied concerning revival.
Andrew draws attention to the roots of the various false messages, dubious fleshly and demonic manifestations etc masqueraded as revival in our times.
He shows from historical evidence that where the leaders of the great revivals encountered these manifestations they discerned them as not originating from God.
Also that is it fair to say that these manifestations were the beginning of the end to some of these revivals.
Despite what some detractors may think, anyone who reads the book would agree that the author remains thoroughly Charismatic/Pentecostal in his approach.
Andrew acknowledges the miraculous and supernatural workings of God whilst cautioning readers to discern and test the spirits.
He points to how desperately the baptism of the Holy Spirit, His gifts and more than ever His fruit in all our lives is needed.
He goes on to bring a compelling call to "personal revival" through "repentance before God" and a no holes barred "Full Gospel Preaching" which is without a doubt featured in every revival that has ever taken place since the day of Pentecost.
This is not a book for those who want their ears tickled but for those who want to see the Lord of revival, revivals where people are saved on mass and society transformed by our Lord Jesus Christ.

research that is done unviels some of the mystique behind the manifestations in revival history and sheds light on how God truly works. This book is worthwhile and very timely to be read for those that have a heart for genuine revival in our day."
