The actual Bible Verses! Good for 2nd-6th Graders! March 24, 2007 I highly recommend this Bible! This is an amazing set of books! There is the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the Pslams and Proverbs. There is also smaller books with just one book of the Bible: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and Acts.
This Bible is the actual Bible Text, word for word! It is NOT a children's story book. It is the ACTUAL BIBLE! It's written in the New International Children's Version (NICV). I believe it's a 2nd grade reading level. (For perspective: Regular NIV is 7th grade reading level.)
My 2nd grader is actually reading the Bible to her 4 year old sister!
My neice (10 years old) was given the Book of John. She read the whole book in one day! I've never even read the whole Book of John in one day!
There are cartoons and pictures throughout. When someone is talking, they put up the talking balloons like in the comic strips.
You should buy any one of these books. These books makes the Bible simple and fun for everyone. Everything is broken down for better understanding. Like the part in Galatians that talks about the Body of Christ. They show a foot talking to the hand, etc. As an adult I like to read it too!
It's the Bible. Word for word. September 6, 2006 If you are interested in seeing and reading the complete book you can go to [...]
I've worked with the creator on this project, Keith Neely, and I think it's pretty unique as children's Bibles go.
With this Illustrated Bible the verses are used word for word from the ICB (International Children's Bible) translation. The translation was made with chilren in mind so it's easy to read. There are verse numbers, subheadings, chapter divisions, everything is there that you expect to find in an adult Bible. I really think this is worth a look and should encourage your children (and adults!) to read and understand the Bible.
