Absolutely love this Awesome Bible June 26, 2007 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
First, I have to say that Amazon packed this Bible so carefully that I don't think I ever received a book or Bible (and I love Bibles) that had been triple plastic wrapped like this one. Yes. The Bible itself was wrapped/sealed in plastic, then the box it came in was sealed in plastic, then this box was sealed to a cardboard sheet inside the shipping box it came in. Totally thrilled and delighted. I highly recommend this Bible for those who are looking for, what I consider one of the best Bible translations out there, and easy-to-read giant print, which makes for a lovely time reading God's Precious Word. The craftsmanship of the Bible is also very wonderful; I love it. A true treasure, and I am confident for many years of use. What an enjoyable experience buying this Bible from Amazon.
Giant Print Reference Bible-NASB January 15, 2007 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
This Bible format is exactly what I've been looking for and haven't been able to find. My husband is a gospel preacher and has an old Bible similar to this that he has taped and re-tpaed the pages. We haven't (up to this point) been able to find a similar one, so I was thrilled when I finally found this on Amazon.com. It was delivered quickly (in time for Christmas this year) and was packed well. The only thing I was somewhat disappointed with is the quality of the stitching in the few front pages. The stitching is quite loose from the top down about 2-3 inches and with how much my husband uses his Bible I'm afraid those first few pages will be coming out very soon. I sent the first one back because of that issue and they were quick to replace it. However, the 2nd one is worse, but we have decided to try it anyway.
Excellent Bible! May 23, 2006 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Giant Print is definitely true with this excellent edition of the reliable NASB. Foundation Publications produces high quality bibles, and this is one of their best. It is very easy on the eyes for reading. The only disadvantage to me is the size and weight of the Bible. It is difficult to hold up in your hand for very long. But that is to be expected for the print size and references. This edition is great for ease of reading and studying at home. You might want a smaller edition to take to church and travelling.
Excelent Product February 23, 2006 30 out of 30 found this review helpful
I have never 'met' a Bible from Foundations Publications that I haven't immediately liked. Whether in leather-like, bonded leather, or Genuine leather, these Bibles are all smyth-sewn and quality products. This is no exception. This is a black, genuine leather Bible with 14pt., giant print. It is a red-letter edition, unfortunately, but the red is of a dark quality, thus non-glaring. This is a very comftorable type. Although I do not 'need' giant print, I like it, so this has become my main Bible. It has a good dictionary/Concordance in the back. It is priced reasonably, and has been a real blessing to have and to hold. Foundations Publications can basically outdo any American Bible publisher today. That, plus an excellent translation, makes Foundations Pub #1 in my book!(UPDATE, 2-26-08) This Bible appears to have been somewhat redesigned. The Genuine Leathers are still Black and Burgundy, but of a different texture. The Bibles appear shorter, but thicker. They are now made in China, but are sewn. The ribbon markers are short and no longer silk.)
