Must Reading For All In Church Leadership October 30, 1997 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
Churches must change their ways to survive. Many churches today have lost touch with their real purpose. They offer stale programs and have little or no positive impact on their communities. New and growing churches are trying to develop plans and ministries for the future. The Purpose Driven Church provides a blue print for church leaders to rethink their core directions and focus their efforts on achieving them. It is a must read and discuss for professional and lay leaders alike.
Balancing the purposes of the Church October 9, 1997 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Rick Warren is a really wise men who knows from experience what is going on in a church. But not his experience alone makes this book so valuable, also the deep biblical insight in this topic. This book is very helpful. I think this is a "must read" for all pastors and especially church planters.
Life principle that make your impact last longer than you do September 3, 1997 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
A dynamic life changing view of where you are going not only as an organization, but as an individual. This book based on Bible principles gives practical help in making godly decisions that will out last your position, disposition, and even your life. An absolute jewel if you desire to grow spiritually as well as increasing your sphere of influence. We are all comitted to something or someone and this book helps you decern to whom you are comitted and where that comittment might lead you. I call this book a chiropractic treat for the soul.Gives you an adjustment. Some times makes you sore, but always lifts you to a new level of growth
The Church is about Growing Christians March 17, 1997 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Rick Warren has hit the nail on the head by addressing the great weakness for many churches that are involved in every other agenda than the purpose for which God created the church. This is required reading for anyone who takes seriously Christ's command to make disciples of all nations
