Classic Stott October 10, 2008 This work is for anyone who wishes to understand the fundamentals of Christianity. Highly recommended.
Great Read February 24, 2008 Very well written. I think all great books should make you want to read more on a subject and search and see for yourself if the things they say are true. This is such a book. It deals with the person of Christ, man's sin nature, our need for a Savior and how we can never be good enough on our own, God's Divine Plan, our relationship with others, etc. The book is written for the Christian as well as someone searching for the truth. My only issue is the font size-it's pretty small. Other than that I would recommend this book.
pleasure to read February 20, 2008 This book is excellent for a new beginner. The book itself is well-written and the points and evidence Stott uses are at times refreshing and other times reinforcing. As with all books I would read it with an open-mind because there are a few places where his interpretation may not necessarily be in sync with what you believe, but overall this book was a pleasure to read!

Let all who believe, read. December 28, 2007 Well written in a purposeful and clear style. I have no quips with the content nor extent of this book. Those essential elements and doctrines of Christianity are well spelled out and those wishing yet more clarification or depth can use this book as their important initial step to knowledge. A great book to offer a young believer or to strengthen the nomimal. The Trinity while not deliberately outlined, is evident to anyone who has some background in rationality - if all three persons of the Trinity are equal in all respects and all God, then this Doctrine is well represented with many direct quotes from Scripture. I particularly like that Stott reveals those necessary duties of Christians (not for salvation but part of justification). Too often the Christian is informed that naught but his mental assent is needed. Here Stott delineates those crucial outward elements incumbent upon those that claim a true fellowship with Christ!
